INTRODUCTION : The necessity to file a private complaint under section 200 Cr P C arises when the police refuses to register a complaint filed by a person. When a private complaint is filed, the party prays that the Court may take cognizance of the offence committed by the other side in the case and direct the concerned police to look into the matter and file a report under section 156(3) for investigation and report of the same after which the case will be registered and the process of law shall be followed.
